Why a Lighting Designer? |
|||
|
With the increased options and awareness of lighting, it is paramount that a lighting designer be represented in most architectural, construction, development and entertainment projects that are using other than natural daylight. Lighting equipment and accessories are far more plentiful today than even 10 years ago and the selections and technologies are constantly changing. Additionally the public awareness and sensitivities to lighting are becoming far more obvious. A lighting designer will work with a design team to utilize the most effective and efficient lighting available. Techni-Lux has developed a design division to help our dealers and clients through the sometimes daunting or even frightening task of selecting lighting for a project. We have experience in theatrical, video, house of worship, themed attraction, architectural, club and retail design with well over 50 years of combined experience and know-how. A lighting designer can work with an architect, director or designer and help to re-visualize a project under a new light. With proper lighting the overall project can be highlighted and enhanced to help raise an awareness of the overall work. Lighting can also be used to help provide a focus or direction to the viewer and it can provide additional function to a space. A simple change in light can make a large room more intimate or a turn a general space into a theatre or presentation hall. Many facilities are even discovering that they should Re-Light instead of Remodel; new lighting can provide a fresh look at the touch of a button every single day. Using a state of the art computer farm and extensive training we can provide photo realistic visualizations and animated fly-throughs of your project to get a feel for the lighting well before the ground is broken or the first set arrives. Lighting design is far more than just the placement of a few light fixtures throughout a space. The feel and character of any project can be enhanced and realized with proper design taking into account color theory, photometrics, efficiency and proper utilization of todays cutting edge technologies. It is never too early in a project to consult a lighting designer and the selection of one should be as important as the architect or director. Please contact us or one of our dealers for a free consultation or more information. |
